Georgina has trained in both contemporary art and the traditional techniques of the Old Masters and takes much of her inspiration from the work of Lawrence and Sargent. She aspires to merge these separate ideals to develop her own unique style, which uses traditional disciplines and combines contemporary expression with bold brushwork.

In her portraiture, Georgina observes the little intensities of character to capture the individuality of her subjects and the subtle natural beauty of everyday life. She draws inspiration from the uninhibited nature and innocence of animals and children and the subtle expressions of personality in the human face.

Based in London, Georgina has studios in both Fulham and Dorset and has been commissioned throughout the South-West and London.

Working directly from life, Georgina requires a number of sittings for each commission. For adults and children, sittings are around three hours long, with regular breaks and are arranged either in the morning or afternoon. For animal commissions, a photographic session and time to study from life is also required.
